Shanghai Chuansha Park 川沙公园

This weekend we went to a place nearby in Pudong called Chuansha. It is roughly less than 30 mins away by car from our apartment. There is a park called Chuansha Park 川沙公园.

Chuansha park is situated in Chuansha new town of Pudong new area and composed of two gardens, i.e. east and west gardens which are separated by city connection river. The park occupies an area of 52.2 thousand of square meters and is opened to the public on Dec 1st, 1985.
Chuansha Park undergone major reconstruction since Sept 2007 and the reconstruction project was completed in March 2008.

When we arrived, we were amazed to find that this park is quite lively. It seems that there are a lot of peddler selling them wares in front of the entrance of this park. Looks a bit like our morning market back in Penang.

Entrance to this park is free. The west garden take advantage of traditional Yangtze river southern garden making arts, utilizing veranda, river side pavilions, wall and tree to carve up space, form scenic areas and distribute scenic spots; East garden features art recreation facilities.
