Nanhui Lake DiShui 南汇滴水湖

After visiting the Nanhui mouth view sea park 南汇嘴观海公园, we stopped by the Lake DiShui on the way back.

The jade-green Lake Dishui is a man-made lake with diameter of 2.5km, covering an area of 5.56 square kilometers. Along the lake is a scenic belt with width of 80 meters on average. The lake is embedded with three islands, each offering different functions. The harmony between the heaven and human is well manifested here as the whole harbor city is built around the lake.

Water Drop Structure in the middle of the lake
There is structure that looks like a drop of water in the middle of the lake, hence the name Water Drop Lake.

Dishui Lake, which means "Water Drop Lake" in Chinese, similar to the size of the famed West Lake of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. However, the latter is surrounded by scenic attractions and heritage sites.

Along the lake there is a stretch of scenic walkway. We first got to the ship dock with a structure that is made like the sail of a yacht.

Tricycle and radio broadcast
This place is developed to be a future tourist spot. Although most of the buildings, like restaurants are yet to be completed.

We hang around the ship dock enjoying the fresh lake air and breeze.

Walking along the stretch can be quite tiring. At last we came to the clock tower. This clock tower reminds me of the old clock tower in my hometown, Sungai Petani. The structure looks to be European-English, all painted in white.

Indeed in future once the infrastructures are built, it should be quite a great tourist spot for weekenders.
